21-22 Internship Workshop

 On June 10th - 11th, 2021. ANC Solutions Group hosted the annual ANC internship workshop. This workshop consisted of new candidates for the ANC internship program, three companies, and 30 candidates. During the internship workshop Mr. Rob Semmel and Mr. Josh Chipman conducted short sessions on Professionalism and Marketing Yourself. They gave interview tips and tips on communication. The afternoon session was mock interviews from volunteers from various different departments of the college. Day 2 of the workshop consisted of actual interviews with Nucor Yamato Steel, Nucor Steel Arkansas, and Watco. Training Completed for Mississippi County Library System Employees

On May 6th, 2021, Solutions Group instructors, Josh Chipman, Michael Smith, and Tamatha Dudley trained 18 individuals on First Aid CPR with AED and Stop the Bleed. This training was roughly 4 hours long and included hands on scenarios and training.  After successful completion these 18 individuals will receive a nationally recognized certification that is valid for 2 years. Thank you Mississippi County Library System for reaching out to The Solutions Group for this training. We look forward to assisting you all in the near future. 

Effective Communication Training for Nucor Skyline Managers

ANC Solutions Group instructor Rob Semmel conducted 16 hours of Effective Communication Training for Nucor Skyline upcoming and existing managers. This training project spanned from January through April, 2021. Training was an interactive session that touched on topics such as conflict resolution, communication techniques, spectrum personality assessments, building a team, and written communication. Training was customized by Solutions Group instructors and staff members based on what Nucor Skyline needed to increase the manager's skill level. Thank you Great River Economic Development Foundation and Office of Skills development for reimbursing Nucor Skyline 75% of the total cost of training. Thank you Nucor Skyline for allowing Solutions Group to train your employees!
Nucor Yamato Steel employees spent a week with The Solutions Group staff at the Center for Allied Technologies. This group worked on Internal Quality Auditing techniques and completed a mock audit of our Aviation and Welding shop. Thank you for visiting and spending time at our Campus. We look forward to having this group back!

D&L HVAC Technicians train & qualify in Gas Metal Arc Welding

Solutions Group Certified Welding Educator/Inspector, Brent Carroll trained six D&L HVAC technicians in Gas Metal ARC Welding during August through December, 2020. After successful completion of 50 hours of training, the participants were able to take a American Welding Society Qualification exam. The training was 100% funded by D&L, Great River Economic Development Foundation and Office of Skills Development.  Thank you all partners involved for making this training a success.   

D&L & Solutions Group train Employees Virtually in Excel

  The Solutions Group worked with D & L individuals in virtual training to teach Microsoft Excel 2016. Director of Industrial Training, Stacey Walker, trained seven individuals from August – December through the virtual platform. Topics included creating formulas, adding drop down lists, formatting cells, using pivot tables and manipulating data. Training was funded 100% by Office of Skills Development and Great River Economic Development Foundation Training Grants.
