Manila fielded three teams in the First Lego League. On of those teams,
The Water Boys, advanced to the Arkansas State Championship where they
earned 1st Place Core Value presentation and then took home Fifth Place
in the Robot Competition out of dozens of teams from across the state.
ANC instructors Sally Wilson and Scott Follett are active in the program
which develops interest in STEM related studies. Congratulations to
Coach Heath Hawkins and the Water Boys from the Solutions Group. Competition was held Saturday, January 20th in
Fayetteville. Water Boys conceived a rainwater capture and
purification system to reduce demands on municipal water supplies.
