The History of The Solutions Group

The Harry L. Crisp Center was formerly a Pepsi bottling plant which was noted to "Mississippi County Community College" in 1991 by the owner, Harry Crisp. In 1995, two part-time instructors and one full-time instructor were hired. Business grew necessitating the hiring of additional staff. The group decided to make a separate and distinct division of the college, thus business and industry would not feel this was simply an outreach of continuing education, but was set up to serve their unique needs. The group settled on the name The Solutions Group.

The Crisp Center grew from two classrooms to filling up a 24,000 square foot facility. The Crisp Center houses two computer labs, an electrical lab, mechanical lab, Non-Destructive Testing lab, and large classroom spaces. the ACME center, located on Nibco Drive houses our welding fabrication training area.
