On March 8th, 2016, Arkansas Northeastern College - The Solutions Group & Arkansas Environmental Training Academy (affiliate of Southern Arkansas University) partnered to provide customize Resource Conservation & Recovery Act Department of Transportation Training.
Instructor, Rickey Cole (Assistant Director/Environmental Health Safety Program Coordinator) at Arkansas Environmental Training Academy trained 13 Primetals employees. Chris Sutton, Primetals Manager, appreciated that the training took place right at their back door at the Crisp Center. With this training, Primetals employees now understand the importance of transporting hazardous materials safely and successfully. RCRA DOT class is an overview of RCRA regulations and allows the participants to identify manufacturers' responsibilities in compliance with any issues.
What makes this training so unique and was a selling point for the company, is the grant assistance provided by Great River Economic Development Foundation. GREDF agreed to pay for a total of 25% of the cost of training.
Special thanks to Primetals, Great River Economic Development Foundation & Arkansas Environmental Training Academy (SAU Tech). You all made this training possible for these participants! We look forward to continuing our new partnership.
