The Solutions Group instructors Robert Semmel and Scott Follett of
Arkansas Northeastern College conducted over 30 hours of training at the Rea
Wire Plant
in Osceola, Arkansas over the course of a May 2016. The goal for each attendee
was to demonstrate a measurable improvement in their industrial skills and be
confident in their approach to making quality products in the safest and most
productive way possible, there were 8 participants. The training covered the
following topics:

Application

Math concepts for Industrial Applications
·
Mechanical Equipment Operation
·
Shop Tool Basics
·
5S Methodology and Lean Overview
·
Quality Considerations for Wire Manufacture
·
Wrapping and Fundamentals of Aluminum and Copper
Alloys
·
Metal Forming Process.
Great River Economic Development Foundation and Existing
Workforce Training Program grant helped REA wire provided funds that covered
75% of the total cost of training leaving only 25% to be paid for by REA. Thank
