ANC Staff Volunteer for First Lego League Tournament

Arkansas Northeastern College, Solutions Group staff, Volunteered for the First Lego League Tournament in Searcy Arkansas on Saturday, December 2nd. First Lego League is a science and technology robotics competition where teams up to 10 members (grades 4-8) compete and research real world problems such as food safety, recycling, and energy and they're challenged to develop a solution.

Stacey Walker, Scott Follett, and Ron Hutto volunteered as Core Value Judges and Project Judges as well as individuals from Nucor Yamato and other institutions. Teams from all over Arkansas competed in the First Lego League. Lego league events included a project demonstration, a competitive obstacle course and a core values assessment.

Scott, Stacey, Ron

The staff will definitely be volunettering for this event next year and Scott will be incorporating some of the Lego principles and activities into his manufacturing classes for Spring 2017.
