Blue Oak & Rea Wire - Six Sigma Green Belt Training

Arkansas Northeastern College (Solutions Group), Blue Oak, and REA Wire partnered to train in Six Sigma Green Belt. Scott Follett, Mechanical instructor for ANC Solutions Group, has completed an 80 hour training in Six Sigma Green Belt. This training occurred at the ANC Osceola campus as well as site visits to these two companies.

What is Six Sigma green belt? Six Sigma is a lean manufacturing program that increases quality and reduces cost in an organization by improving sampling processes and the ability to analyze lab results using statistical methods. During this training the group met two days per week until the 80 hours were met.

Although the details of the projects are propitiatory, the training and the application of the new skills gives Blue Oak a huge advantage over its competitors by saving the company significant time and money.

Follow up from this training. Stacey Walker and Courtney Cooper visited Blue Oak on Thursday, December 8th. They received a detailed tour of the processes as well as visited the lab where they seen the Six Sigma Green Belt Training certificate of completion from The Solutions Group hanging in the lab!

Next step.... all of the completers of any Six Sigma Green Belt Training will be asked to join the Six Sigma Black Belt training starting spring of 2017.
