Material Handling Cycle 4

Join us in CONGRATULATING the fourth cycle of completers of the Material Handling training offered at Arkansas Northeastern College-Burdette Center. There were 10 completers who received certificates of completion with certification/qualification in the following areas: OSHA 10 Hour General Industry, CPR/First Aid, Conducting a Hazard Analysis/Workplace Etiquette, Class IV Lift Truck/Class V Lift Truck/Class VII Lift Truck, Elevated Work Platform/Scissorlift, Mini Excavator/Bobcat, Remote/Pendant Overhead Cranes, Rigging Awareness/Fall Protection and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The class was able to operate heavy equipment at local industries and at the Burdette Center and visit Mid River Terminal and Big River Steel. The local fire department came to visit the class as well to train students on proper fire extinguisher use. The training was taught by Jim Shephard, President of Industrial Training Systems, Inc. This program was free to the students, was four weeks in duration, and offered excellent job training skills for industry employment.
