The Solutions Group has seen an increase in the demand for
OSHA and safety training. Instructors, Brent Carroll, Rick Sones, and Scott
Follett are The Solutions Group’s three new trainers in OSHA for General
Industry. This extensive training project lasted approximately two weeks.
Typically, when a trainer wishes to become an OSHA trainer he or she has to
travel to a site that provides the trainer courses. This time we collaborated
with Rickey Cole from Southern Arkansas University – Environmental Training
Academy where he traveled from Camden to Blytheville to train these three
instructors in OSHA 511—a 40-hour
pre-requisite training, before taking the trainer course. After they tested and received their
certificates for this course, they traveled to ASU Mid-South in West Memphis to
begin OSHA 501—the trainer course. In
this course, they had to prepare an OSHA lecture and practice teach for their
classmates. This course lasted approximately 40-hours. After successful
completion, The Solutions Group now has five OSHA instructors!
These instructors, whom have personal experiences in
industry, can share their experiences
and help generate a safe workforce… additionally, with their new certification,
