Nucor Yamato Steel receives grant funding for Excel 2016

Excel is a hot topic right now! During 2016-2017 Fall/Spring semesters Allied Technologies – The Solutions Group trained over 175 employees from numerous companies in Microsoft Excel 2016. Areas of training ranged from Excel Part I (basic), Excel Part II (intermediate), and Excel Part II (advanced).
Three Solutions Group instructors, Stacey Walker, Carol Mills, and Ron Hutto, provided real world scenarios in the class to help the material relate to the students’ jobs. Participants were asked to bring in any issues or problems they would like the class to address. Time is provided near the end of each class for a comprehensive review of topics that need a little more work such as Pivot Tables and Charts.
Excel 2016 training includes:
•             Entering & Editing Data
•             Modifying a worksheet
•             Functions
•             Formatting
•             Charts
•             Graphics
•             Printing
•             Working with Functions
•             Working with Lists
•             Analyzing Data
•             Creating Charts
•             Pivot Tables & Pivot Charts
The Office of Skills Development funded 50% of the total training cost for Nucor Yamato Steel and Great River Economic Development Foundation funded 25% of the total cost of training. Thanks NYS, GREDF, and instructors for making this training possible.
