First Aid CPR
Training for TMK-IPSCO
Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based,
instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond
to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the
first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. First AID CPR
+ AED training is very popular within industry. After successful completion of
the First Aid CPR + AED, participants are issued an American Heart Association
Card that is valid for two years. This training also includes hands-on training
provided by Donna and Mark Razer at the ANC Crisp Center. The four hour
training took place on June 2, 2017. The following topics were covered:

- · Avoiding Infectious Diseases
- · Basic Life Support: Rescue Breathing, Choking, CPR, AED
- · Bleeding & Wound Care, Shock, Burns
- · Head, Spinal, Chest, and Abdominal Injuries
- · Bone, Joint, and Muscle Injuries
- · Sudden Illness: Cardiac, Stroke, Respirator, Seizures, Diabetes
- · Poisoning, Bites, and Stings
- · Heat, Cold, & Environmental Emergencies
- · Rescuing & Moving Victims
- · Hands-on Exercises
Great River Economic Development Foundation funded 25% of
the total cost of training for this company.
