OSHA 30 General Industry was conducted at the ANC Crisp
Center during the week of June 22nd for Omnium and two Career
Pathways participants. The following topics were discussed in the training:
- Introduction to OSHA
- Managing Safety & Health
- Prevention Programs
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Electrical Safety
- Material Handling
- Hazardous Communications
- Ergonomics
- Blood-borne Pathogens
- Machine Guarding
- Lockout/Tagout
Participants also went to the ANC Acme Center to conduct a
site survey on the welding shop. They used the hands on experience to log any
records of inconsistencies based on what they saw. After successful completion
the individuals obtained an OSHA 30 General Industry card.

Great River Economic Development Commission funded 25% of
the total cost of training for Omnium and Career Pathways funded their
