On
October 5, 2018, ANC hosted a Manufacturing Day event for students and local
business and industry representatives. To kick off the event, eight area
employers set up informational tables for a mini job fair at ANC’s new Center
for Allied Technologies. This allowed ANC Tech Center students the opportunity
to learn about some local companies. There were over 100 people in attendance
for the event which included breakout sessions about electrical processes,
Customized Training/Internships/Work Program, Mechanical Drives & Bearings,
Motivating Employees, & Six Sigma for Education and Industry. ANC president Dr. James Shemwell & Riverscrest
Schools Superintendent Sally Bennett were the keynote speakers during lunch
where they addressed the ANC Allied Technology Division and local area high
school projects.
