Lexicon has been a partner with the Allied Technologies/Solutions Group division for internships since December 2018. Solutions Group instructor, Rob Semmel trained 60 individuals in OSHA 10 for General Industry. It is required for workers to have this certification for their employees work at remote locations in the southern United States. This training was exceptionally important before their major project later in March where they will be sending 40+ individuals to Alabama to work at a steel company. Great River Economic Development Foundation Grant paid 25% of the total cost. Training took place on February 14th, 15th and March 7th and 9th. Topics included: introduction to OSHA, blood borne pathogens, PPE, Hazardous communication, exit roles, emergency action plans, fire prevention, and fire protection, electrical, hazardous materials, lock out/tag out, materials handling, fall protection, and confined spaces.
