The Arkansas Steelmaking Academy conducted its first class on June 3, 2019. Training will consist of 40 hours of SMS specific basic and expert level hydraulics training. There are 8 individuals enrolled in the class - 5 participants came from Outokumpu Group located in Alabama and three were local participants from Nucor Castrip, Big River Steel, and SMS - Osceola. Jessica Hilliard from SMS group Inc. in Pittsburg and Karsten (Weiss) Weiß from TECademy located in Germany joined the group to welcome them.
