Big River Steel sent 13 employees to a customized Excel training class in July, 2019. This class was geared towards operators and administrative staff. The Solutions Group’s Director for Industrial Training (Stacey Walker) and Big River Steel’s Environmental Manager (Michele Vachon) coordinated to develop the training program. The excel class was 24 hours and included a comprehensive project utilizing BRS spreadsheets and data. Emphasis was given on pivot tables, presenting useful data, and functions/formulas. Adjunct instructor, Rosemary Lowe delivered this training. Office of Skills Development grant and Great River Economic Development Foundation grant covered 75% of the total cost of training after successful completion. Thank you all participants involved!
