On the job welding training @ Southworth!

Brent Carroll, Certified Welding Inspector at ANC Solutions Group, trained several individuals in Weld Theory and Gas Metal ARC Welding  on the job training. This training took place at Southworth where one day was lecture and the following day was OJT. Southworth has a unique process where most of their orders are custom orders. One fabricator/welder will take a hydraulic lift table and build it from start to finish. Southworth had a need for blueprint reading training with weld symbols. Mr. Carroll took their requests and customized a class and training. Great River Economic Development Foundation and Office of Skills Development grants reimbursed 100% of the total cost of training. This training was 20 hours and after successful completion the participants were able to understand blueprints and weld symbols, use the proper techniques to weld their custom projects, and work as a team to accomplish goals.
