Allied Technologies/Solutions Group staff have been extremely busy this summer with their professional development. Over the summer the welding instructors, Matt Frias and Justin Vaughan attended sessions to obtain the American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector and Certified Welding Educator qualifications. After successful completion the Solutions Group will have three nationally recognized welding educators/inspectors.
Allied Technologies and Tech Center staff partnered in a session of teambuilding training provided by instructor, Jamie Frakes, and classroom management training provided by instructor, Tammy Wilson.
We have also increased our skill level to allow for more customized training for industry. Tamatha Dudley attended Spectrum Development personality assessment training to become a certified Spectrum Trainer. This training course was 40 hours of intense theory and hands-on training. She will utilize this in her Office Technology program as well as teach this to industry.
Solutions Group has four certified American Heart Association First Aid CPR Trainers! Steve Crosskno, Josh Chipman, Michael Smith, and Tamatha Dudley attended the train the trainer course and now is certified to teach first aid cpr to our students and conduct customize training to industry.
Last but not least, we had two graduates from the STAND foundation leadership program, Michael Smith and Angel Walker. These two staff members learned skills in public speaking, leadership/teamwork, and earned volunteer hours.
