On August 28th, 2019 D&L managers came by to present material about D&L and workplace readiness skills to the HVAC class. They talked about their company and the
opportunities that they offer. They told their requirements for employment and
encouraged all the students to apply. Most graduates from the HVAC program become employed at D&L.
On September 12th, 2019 ARCOSO’s HR Recruiter and
Welding Manager visited the Allied Technologies Welding classes to discuss
career opportunities at ARCOSA in Caruthersville, Missouri. This discussion
included soft skills needed for employment, attendance policies, advancement
opportunities, work schedule, welding procedures and specs, and open discussion
for the students. We will be participating in a follow up visit with our
students at ARCOSA in November.
