Group’s Metallurgical Engineer, Rob Semmel collaborated with Nucor Steel
Arkansas to provide training to new and existing employees in hydraulics.
Training included, symbols/diagrams, fluid power principles, hydraulic systems,
and hands-on demonstrations of hydraulic equipment. This training was offered
on employees’ days off starting on September 20th, 2019. This training was 8
hours per session for 4 sessions and after successful completion, there were
approximately 40 employees who received certificates. Office of
Skills Development and Great River Economic Development Foundation grants
reimbursed 100% of the total cost of training to Nucor Steel Arkansas. Thank you everyone involved!
