The
Solutions Group partnered with Industrial Training International (ITI) to
provide approximately 40 Nucor Yamato Steel employees with intermediate rigging
training in January and February 2020 at the Center for Allied Technologies.
The training was three days with one day of lecture and the other two days of
practical hands on rigging training at Nucor Yamato Steel. The topics covered
were: gear inspection, load weight calculation, sling selection, center of
gravity calculation, and loading and moving procedures. Great River Economic
Development Foundation Grant and Office of Skills Development Grant reimbursed
Nucor Yamato Steel 100% of the total cost of training. After successful
completion, the participants received a certification from Industrial Training
International. Thank you all partners involved to make this training successful. We look forward to our continued partnership.
