Industrial Electrical training for Big River Steel employees

Solutions Group instructor, Steve Crosskno PE, taught approximately 100 hours of customized Basic Industrial Electrical training for Big River Steel employees. This training consisted of 

  • Electrical Safety 
  • Circuit Construction 
  • Single and Three Phase Voltage
  • Transformers
  • Control Devices
  • Motor Starters
  • NEC Basics 
  • Hands on lab activities
After successfully completing this program, many of the electricians and maintenance personnel gained the foundational skills in basic electricity to complete higher-level courses such as PLC programming training. This training project took place at Arkansas Northeastern College, Center for Allied Technologies on a rotating shift schedule to accommodate the schedule for BRS employees. Great River Economic Development Foundation and Office of Skills Development paid and reimbursed 100% of the total cost of training for this project.
