TSG instructor Scott Follett Presents Appointment at West Point

Scott Follett presents an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY to Conner Sparks from Searcy. Conner is attending the world's premier leadership institution and will receive a four year education that is on par with Stanford, Harvard, and other world class universities. The appointment represents a $425,000 scholarship to the best public university as ranked by Forbes magazine. In addition to teaching at the Solutions Group, Scott is a field representative for the United States Military Academy. Aviation Repair Technologies – HazDot 5.1 Training for Transportation

Training for Aviation Repair Technologies started in 2014 with safety instruction being conducted onsite for HazDot Training for Transportation and hazardous materials. Every three years the certificate is scheduled to be renewed and ART selected ANC to conduct their training. Allied Technologies instructor, Rob Semmel conducted the 8-hour HazDot 5.1 training at ART in Gosnell, Arkansas on March 20 th . The training included the following topics: · Overview and definitions of hazardous materials · Regulations to locate the sections of hazardous materials · Material regulations · Record keeping and identifying information about hazardous materials · Applying understanding of the hazmat table to proper shipping techniques · Applying requirements of labeling hazardous materials · Applying requirements for marking hazardous material packages for freight containers or transportation vehicles. NYS/Nucor Castrip "ride in a taxi cab"

Every year Nucor "shuts-down" production to perform routine maintenance on machines. This year, ANC Solutions Group was part of that "maintenance." On March 16th, Nucor Yamato Steel and Nucor Castrip participated in an eight hour Spectrum Development/Personality awareness and conflict management training, provided by Desmond Hammett. Spectrum Development is a personality awareness program that allows individuals to identify themselves and learn how to put that knowledge into perspective in everyday life. There are two aspects to Full Color Spectrum. First is the interaction styles, introversion and extroversion, which describes the thinking process and energy source. The second reveals temperament colors, Blue, Green, Gold and Orange, which describe four distinct patterns of behavior. The group initially identified if they were introverts or extroverts.
