Arkansas Delta Women’s Leadership Academy Tours ANC’s Center for Allied Technologies

 




The Arkansas Delta Women’s Leadership Academy recently toured the Center for Allied Technologies at Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville, Arkansas. The visit was led by Stacey Walker, Associate Vice President for Workforce Training, along with Jernal Woods, Director of Workforce Training, and Mallory Darby, Vice President of Economic Development.

During the visit, participants explored the Electricity Lab/Mechanical Lab/ Welding Lab & Construction lab and learned how ANC’s workforce training initiatives are preparing students for high-demand technical careers. The tour sparked a robust discussion about the growing aviation workforce pipeline, as regional employers continue to express demand for skilled technicians to support the state’s expanding aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Walker and Woods shared how ANC’s Solutions Group and Allied Technologies Division collaborate with local industries to create innovative training programs aligned with employer needs. Darby highlighted Mississippi County’s strong economic momentum, citing recent industrial growth and workforce investments that continue to position the region as a leader in manufacturing and logistics.

The dialogue underscored a shared commitment to advancing women’s leadership, workforce innovation, and community development in the Arkansas Delta. The Academy members left inspired by the collaborative energy between education, industry, and community partners driving economic progress in Mississippi County.
